BRDG Project
BRDG Project is still an active nonprofit but does not currently have a brick and mortar location. Please sign up for our email list and follow on Instagram to hear about pop-up exhibitions and other updates!
The mission of BRDG Project (Pronounced Bridge Project) is to bring local, artist-driven and thought-provoking arts back to the heart of Denver’s shifting neighborhoods by bridging artist, gallery, youth and underserved communities together in an accessible and engaging space for contemporary expression and learning.

Dear Artists, Friends and Supporters,
We are disappointed to announce that efforts to make our presence at 33rd and Tejon more financially sustainable through art studio rentals and other sublets did not come to fruition. The ability to maintain the space for the long term has become too burdensome for us as a small arts nonprofit, so we are working with the building owner to find new tenants for this large, multi-purpose facility. We are working to find the right business to take over the facility —preferably one that is creative-minded.
As a nonprofit organization, BRDG Project will regroup, rebuild our mission and find a new way to support and work with the amazing artist community that has built around us.
We would also like to recognize the enthusiastic and tireless support of those who have engaged with their organization on every level. A closing and thank you party will be scheduled.
Over three and half years and two locations, BRDG has hosted a diverse array of over 65, solo, group, pop-up, philanthropic and community exhibitions, held over 30 performances including opera and dance and music, featured over 300 working artists and 450 students from three universities and the Denver Public Schools, and have served thousands of patrons. We have also provided a much-needed “third space” space for individuals to reconnect in a post-COVID world.
The feedback from the neighborhood is that they love the creative energy BRDG Project has brought back to this area, as does the building owner. We are working together to find a like-minded business or artistic group to expand on what we have started. Our commitment to building a community around the arts has not changed. While we are hoping for visual, performance, or other creative entities who might be interested, to reach out, all ideas will be considered.
Interested parties can contact Brett Matarazzo at [email protected] and he will connect them to the building owner or representative.
Thank you and we will keep you posted about any activities that we pop-up!
